Emma Castaldi

Adjunct Faculty, Chamber Choral Singers
Department of Music

Emma Castaldi is the director of Chamber Chorale at Elmhurst University. Prior to holding this position, Emma worked as a choral director in both high school and middle school settings – most recently as the Upper School Choir Director at Francis W. Parker School in Chicago. Emma received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from Northwestern University. She is a proud member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Illinois Music Education Association. One of her favorite parts about directing choirs is witnessing the magic that occurs when many different and unique voices come together to create music. She especially enjoys coaching the individual voice and has received formal Estill Voice Training that has guided her in teaching students about the physical aspects of creating sound. Emma’s goal is to demystify the voice for her students so that they can confidently explore the vast range of sound that is possible.
